On Thursday we held our Annual UNESCO World Book Day (Over 100 Countries take part). The children and staff dressed up as Book Characters, we had a book swap, we had a choose a story lesson, staff read a section from their favourite children’s story book, we designed book marks, wrote poems, composed stories, made puppet book characters, designed a story sack and board games and we compiled a Whitehill Top 10 favourite books. The Courier came along and photographed the children’s fancy dress. I would like to thank all parents who were so supportive—You are wonderful !! A special thank you to Mrs Wilson and Mrs Roche who organised the day—what a team !!
